Different Coloured Days

Vincent Bach artist Tom Syson is a highly regarded trumpeter and composer based in the UK. In January 2019 he recorded his 2nd album, ‘Different Coloured Days’ at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios, which he released alongside a UK tour in May 2019, supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England. The album title is inspired by his experience with anxiety.

 

Featuring on the record is Tom Barford (2017 Kenny Wheeler Prize Winner, Jazzwise - 'Future star of the UK Jazz Scene.') on tenor saxophone, David Ferris (2014 Mike Gibbs Prize Winner, Simon Spillett, Helen Mayhew JazzFm - 'One to watch.') on piano, Pete Hutchison (Dixie Strollers, Hofesh Shechter Company, Abandoman) on double bass and Jonathan Silk (Soweto Kinch, Meraki, Forj) on drums.​

‘Different Coloured Days’ has received a large amount of press coverage, including radio plays on BBC Radio 3 and JazzFM and reviews from Jazzwise and UK Vibe.
