Teaching has been an integral part of my musical career for over 4 years now. I teach many genres including Jazz, Classical, Pop, and Composition to a wide variety of ages. I am a registered Saxophone and Clarinet tutor for Enfield Music Service and have taught in schools across London since joining the EMS team 3 years ago. Other aspects of my teaching involve regular private students, Skype lessons, assisting with workshops in colleges such as the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (Masterclass with acclaimed Guitarist/Composer Joel Harrison) and writing/conducting commissions for youth organisations such as the Northampton County Youth Big Band and the National Youth Jazz Orchestra. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like a Skype lesson. More details about my qualifications a can be found here...
“Tom has been tutoring my daughter Emma (8) on saxophone for about 6 months and the progress Emma has made is unbelievable. Tom is very friendly, plays the saxophone exceptionally and his lessons are always fun. It is hard to find the right tutor, especially when it comes to music, but Tom is amazing at what he does and Emma always looks forward to her saxophone lessons. I would recommend Tom to anyone who wishes to learn to play the saxophone in a fun and engaging way.” - Eva
“My lessons with Tom have been a fantastic propellant for developments in terms of my technical facility, musicianship and developing a unique voice. Having the privilege of guidance from a master musician like Tom has allowed me to develop further and accomplish more than I could've hoped. Tom listens and clearly explains every concept and exercise with clarity, he cares about getting the most out of the lesson time which means you come away with plenty of material to work on. And as an extra bonus it's always a pleasure to hear him play his saxophone.” – Marko (22 years old)
“Tom is a wonderful clarinet teacher, and instilled a love for the instrument in my 8 year old daughter. Patient and kind, we would recommend him as a tutor in a heartbeat.”- Farah
